It's best to start applying Zovirax Cold Sore Cream as soon as possible, preferably at the first sign of symptoms (e.g. tingling or itching). You can still start to treat your cold sore once the blister has appeared. Zovirax Cold Sore Cream is well tolerated and can be used by adults and children.

What is a cold sore?
Cold sores are small blisters that develop on the lips or around the mouth. They're caused by the herpes simplex virus. You may not have any symptoms when you first become infected with the herpes simplex virus.

Dosage
Apply the cream liberally to completely cover the whole of the affected are.Apply to the affected area five times a day at approximately 4 hourly intervals for four days.If your cold sore has not healed after this time, you can use the cream for up to 10 days in total. -
