Sensodyne Complete Care Toothbrush Soft (Peach)

€2.99

Sensodyne Complete Care Toothbrush Soft (Peach). Sensitive teeth need special care. With its small angled head, soft outer bristles and inner twisting bristles, the Sensodyne Complete Care Toothbrush is suitable for people with sensitive teeth. It provides enamel cleaning, gum cleaning and plaque removal.

Soft toothbrushes are actually more effective at removing food and plaque than hard-bristle toothbrushes, and they are gentler on your teeth and gums. Soft-bristled brushes are best for removing plaque and debris from your teeth and along the gum line as well as they aren’t abrasive enough to cause erosion to the enamel. While a toothbrush with soft bristles cannot cause actual damage to your teeth or gums, you must use a good brushing technique to ensure plaque and debris is removed from your teeth.

It is recommended that toothbrushes are replaced every 3 months. For optimum treatment of tooth sensitivity, we recommend twice daily use of a Sensodyne toothpaste. It is advisable to use a proper toothbrushing technique. To protect sensitive teeth we recommend twice daily use of a Sensodyne toothpaste.

Causes of Sensitive Teeth

Sensitive teeth are typically the result of worn tooth enamel or exposed tooth roots. Sometimes, however, tooth discomfort is caused by other factors, such as a cavity, a cracked or chipped tooth, a worn filling, or gum disease. People with sensitive teeth may experience pain or discomfort as a response to certain triggers. You may feel this pain at the roots of the affected teeth.

Triggers Include:

  • Hot foods and beverages
  • Cold foods and beverages
  • Cold air
  • Sweet foods and beverages
  • Acidic foods and beverages
  • Cold water, especially during routine dental cleanings
  • Brushing or flossing teeth
  • Alcohol-based mouth rinses
Children under 6 years should be supervised during brushing. Do not allow bristles or toothbrush to be chewed.
