Gaviscon Extra Liquid Sachets bring fast relief from the pain and discomfort of heartburn and acid indigestion. They get to work in two different ways: Neutralising excess stomach acid to relieve pain and discomfort. Forming a protective barrier over the stomach contents to sooth the burning pain in your chest.
This product forms a protective layer that floats on top of the stomach contents. This layer prevents reflux and keeps the stomach contents away from the lining of the food pipe to relieve the symptoms of heartburn and indigestion. This medicine is used for the treatment of symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion (related to reflux), for example, following meals, or during pregnancy, or in patients with symptoms related to reflux oesophagitis.

How Gaviscon Liquid Works
Gaviscon Liquid is used for the treatment of symptoms of gastro-oesophageal reflux such as acid regurgitation, heartburn and indigestion (related to reflux), for example, following meals, or during pregnancy, or in patients with symptoms related to reflux oesophagitis.
It works in 2 ways: a combination of two antacids to neutralise excess stomach acid, and an alginate which forms a protective layer that floats on top of the stomach contents, keeping it away from the lining of the food pipe.

Dosage
Adults and children 12 years and over:10 to 20 ml (1 to 2 sachets) after meals, up to four times a dayChildren under 12 years: Should only be taken on medical advice. -
Ingredients
Each 10 ml sachet contains sodium alginate 500 mg, sodium bicarbonate 213 mg and calcium carbonate 325mg. Contains sodium, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E216). -
